Description
This comfortable studio is located in Quai de Jemmapes in front of the famous Canal Saint Martin. The canal was opened in 1825 by Napoleon I. Nowadays, the canal is a popular destination of Parisians and tourists who enjoy watching the series of locks, the bridges and sculptures. There is a number of popular restaurants and bars along it. This area is also popular among students. The canal was featured in the movie Amelie in 2001, in which Amelie Poulain enjoyed skipping stones at the locks of the canal.
The apartment of 30 m² is located on the 10th French floor in a modern building. The building is equipped with the entrance codes and an elevator. The apartment has a living room combined with a bedroom and a kitchen. There is a balcony. The bathroom and the toilet are separated.
The living room is furnished with a big leather sofa, a desk with a chair, a coffee table, a chest of drawers and the lamps. The entrance to the balcony is through the living room.
The bedroom is combined with the living room and is equipped with a double bed, a TV set.
The bathroom is equipped with a bath tub, a shower, a washbasin, a mirror and it is separated from the toilet.
The kitchen is combined with the living room and it has all necessary utensils.
The apartment is located in the building facing the quay of Canal Saint Martin. The canal was built by order of Napoleon I between 1822 and 1825. It was the artificial waterway dug to supply Paris with water, however by 1960s traffic had dwindled to a trickle and the canal slowly escaped being filled in and paved over for a highway. Today the canal stretches from Rue du Faubourg du Temple to the Bastille and it is a very popular tourist place.
